Using the Browser Extension

Introduction

Due to limitations of certain data sources (such as WebDAV, S3-compatible storage), it is not possible to directly sync or import books through these data sources in the browser. To solve this problem, we have developed a dedicated browser extension. This extension is open source on GitHub. Feel free to star it: koodo-reader/extension

Installation

Currently, the browser extension has not been listed on official stores. You need to manually install it and enable developer mode in your browser.
  1. Download the extension package: visit Releases · koodo-reader/extension and download the latest version.
  1. Extract the downloaded package to a local folder.
  1. Enter chrome://extensions in your browser's address bar.
  1. Turn on "Developer mode" (usually in the top right corner).
  1. Click the "Load unpacked" button.
  1. Select the folder you extracted in step 2.
  1. The installation is now complete.

Usage Notes

  • This browser extension is enabled by default on the official web version of Koodo Reader.
  • After the initial installation, you'll need to refresh the web pagefor the changes to take effect.
  • If you are using a self‑hosted Docker version, you need to click the extension icon in the browser toolbar and manually enable it.
